The first issue of 2026 features two papers and one report, covering topics ranging from noble genealogy to issues and problems of heritage conservation. In the opening study, Marek Starý examines in detail the noble family of Tunkl of Brníčko and Zábřeh, placing its history and individual members within a broader context, including connections to the House of Iturbide, whose members briefly occupied the throne of Mexican Empire. In the second study, Tomáš Kowalski analyses the relationship between electrification and heritage preservation. Drawing on archival sources, he focuses on the tension between modernization efforts and the requirements imposed by state heritage conservation authorities. In the concluding report, Ivan Hlaváček reviews recent foreign publications in the auxiliary sciences of history, with particular attention to German and Polish diplomatics, medieval studies, and the rich output of scholarly editions.
The second issue of Sborník archivních prací for 2025 contains four papers with a broadly medieval focus, covering the fields of diplomatics, palaeography, linguistics, sigillography, and biographical topics. Petr Sedláček analyses Czech-language medieval charters of the Augustinians in Brno from diplomatic, palaeographic, and linguistic perspectives. Pavel Trnka reconstructs the itinerary of King Vladislaus II. Jagiełło of Bohemia up to the middle of 1490. Petra Oulíková examines the development and typology of the seals used by the Benedictine monastery of Kladruby from the thirteenth century to the early seventeenth century. Thomas Krzenck presents the life and work of the legal historian and codicologist František Čáda. In the concluding report, Ludmila Sulitková provides an overview of editions of medieval and early modern municipal registers published in book form between 2009 and 2024.
